That’s why we strive to develop our companies into solutions providers relevant to their niche segment. The concept of being a solutions provider means different things in different industries. Many of our companies have a background in supplying or producing products. Becoming a solutions provider involves adding a relevant service offer to the product offering. Focus is on the customer and our ability to solve the customer’s problems.

 

From a group-wide perspective, the main initiatives are about creating awareness and challenging business models. We also seek opportunities to acquire companies with complementary service offerings. The business groups provide support by identifying and evaluating opportunities to grow and adding services that enhance the offering. The business groups also contribute resources or competence as and when needed. However, all companies have clear responsibility for driving their own strategic direction and ownership always resides with them.
