2019-06-24 Axel Johnson International’s Fluid Handling Solutions business group, AxFlow, has acquired Generalcontrol, effective 19 June. Generalcontrol is a recognised pump distributor in the Italian market mainly serving the process and sanitary industry.Generalcontrol was founded in 1967 and is a well-recognised pump distributor in Italy. Based in Milan, the company distributes positive displacement pumps, air motors, peristaltic pumps, laboratory equipment and process instrumentation to the Italian process industry. A large part of its customers is found in the sanitary, chemical, ceramics and automotive sectors. Additionally, the company offers complete in-house assembly of some products under own brand. Generalcontrol’s product offering is a great complement to AxFlow’s offering in Italy.
“Generalcontrol is a highly strategic acquisition for AxFlow Italy. It has a highly skilled workforce and excellent facilities that have enabled it to establish an excellent reputation throughout the country. 2019-06-14 Nomo, part of Axel Johnson International’s business group Power Transmission Solutions, strengthens its offering in the Finnish market by the acquisition of JokiLaakeri, effective 14 June.Founded in 1991, JokiLaakeri is a highly regarded multi-brand bearing distributor in the Finnish market with a comprehensive product portfolio, high level of technical expertise and extensive service offering. The company has around 25 employees with annual sales of approx. EUR 18 million. JokiLaakeri has a leading market position in Tampere, the key industrial region in Finland, with branches in Lahti, Vaasa and Oulu, complementing Nomo’s geographical presence in the Finnish market.

VIP Tehnika is a Slovenian service and distribution company of centrifugal pumps, serving many of its neighboring countries in the Balkan region.“The acquisition is a strategic move that enables a synergistic approach for both companies and enables AxFlow Austria to expand its geographical presence and for both operations to offer existing and potential customers a greater range of products and support services.” says Ole Weiner, CEO, AxFlow Holding.
Founded in 1991, VIP Tehnika operates mainly in the water and wastewater market but also in food and beverage, industrial and chemical sectors. Its main activities cover sales, installation, commissioning, pump repairs, assembly and system integration. 2019-05-03 Axel Johnson International’s Fluid Handling Solutions business group, AxFlow, has acquired Innva AS, effective 29 April. Innva is a technical distributor of premium valves and piping solutions for the water and wastewater segment in Norway.AxFlow AS has been selling complete pump stations, instrumentation and valves for water and wastewater treatment in Norway for decades. The addition of Innva’s product assortment in valves and piping solutions will enable a stronger combined offering.
Headquartered in Baerum, a suburb of Oslo, Innva is highly regarded in the Norwegian water and wastewater segment. Innva is known for providing high-quality products, with Hawle being one of its most prominent suppliers. Since its foundation in October 2014, Innva has enjoyed strong, double-digit growth, largely due to its high service level and extensive technical expertise.

Built on recently acquired IWRC in Wloclawek, the Certex Polska branch will from the beginning of April provide lifting solutions to end-customers within shipping and industrial applications.Poland is one of Europe’s strongest economies with robust underlying growth supported by ongoing investments in construction and infrastructure projects, creating high underlying demand for quality lifting solutions.
