Are you a skilled negotiator who always manages to find the best deals, enjoys varied tasks within purchasing, and doesn’t shy away from taking creative initiatives in an industry you may not be fully familiar with yet? Then you might be just who we are looking for! Our team needs to fill an important position during parental leave, and we are in search of a new star to take on the role of purchaser. The position is a full-time temporary position for about 12 months, starting as soon as possible.

For this role, it is crucial that you are meticulous and detail-oriented in your work. You enjoy collaborating with internal departments and external suppliers but also have the ability to work independently and take your own initiatives. At our company, the winds can change quickly, and you therefore need to be flexible and able to adapt quickly to new conditions and change your priorities if required.

We are located in newly built premises in Stora Bernstorp outside Malmö, but once you’ve settled in, there’s the possibility to work from home a few days a week. We offer, among other things, a generous wellness allowance and reduced working hours during the summer and before public holidays.

Your Tasks

• Perform purchasing and management of assigned suppliers
• Responsible for ensuring a smooth supply chain and handling any deviations or delays
• Actively collaborate with other departments to ensure an efficient and seamless process
• Update product data and similar info in the system, responsible for the production and control of technical information, and other administrative tasks related to purchasing
• Develop and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.

Your Qualifications

• Relevant education at secondary level, preferably with college competence
• Experience in qualified purchasing work within the relevant industry
• Good understanding of purchasing processes, negotiation techniques, and the dynamics of the supply chain
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in building and maintaining relationships.

Abkati is part of the Transport Solutions business area within Axel Johnson International, which is a part of the Axel Johnson group. We are one of the country’s leading importers and distributors of components and details for commercial vehicles and off-road machinery. We are approximately 60 employees with headquarters and warehouse in Stora Bernstorp, Arlöv.
