Axel Johnson International forms a new business group within the field of Industrial Automation, effective as of 1 January 2022. Mattias Jaginder has been appointed Managing Director.

“We entered the automation business segment in December 2018 with the acquisition of OCS AB in Sweden, and in October 2020 we acquired Danish company Caldan Conveyor A/S. With several ongoing opportunities, we aim to build a 2-3 billion SEK business group within Industrial Automation over the next years,” says Martin Malmvik, CEO, Axel Johnson International. “I am convinced that Mattias with his strong track record, leadership and business acumen will lead the way to continued success in this exciting segment.”

The Industrial Automation business group will mainly focus on solutions for factory intralogistics, food processing, primary packaging and automation components, with Mattias Jaginder as Managing Director effective as of 1 January 2022. Mattias is currently Managing Director of Nomo Group, one of the companies within Axel Johnson International’s business group Power Transmission Solutions.

“I am very excited to embark on this journey, and together with my colleagues continue to build the industrial automation offering and contribute to the development of both new and existing companies. We see many trends supporting increased automation in the global industry, and I look forward to leveraging on these opportunities and contribute to achieving our high set ambitions,” says Mattias Jaginder.
